Yakamoz S-245 Season 1 Review
There was plenty of action and a fast pace when Into The Night premiered on Netflix in 2020 thanks to its colorful, thrilling storyline. Season 2 was more of the same, although it ended on a cliffhanger that sets up Season 3 nicely. I have to admit that it wasn’t until about halfway through the first episode of Yakamoz S-245 that I realized the show was a spin-off set in the same universe as the original. Yakamoz is essentially Season 3 of Into the Night, only with less likable people and more emotionally-charged actions made by everyone.
There are compelling parts to the narrative, and the connections to Into the Night are skillfully executed. This is a fantastic episode, and I almost wish there were more like it in the series. While it’s true that the series finale suggests a future convergence of the two shows, that future remains to be seen.
Yakamoz S-245 is perfect if you’re in the mood for a brash, silly, action-packed show. It’s not without flaws, but there’s something about it that smacks of guilty pleasure that will keep you watching until the very end. It’s not even close to being as fantastic as Into The Night, but fans of the Belgium show should still like this one. For everybody else, this one is only adequate.
