The Rain Season 4 Renewal Status
There won’t be any more episodes, though. When Netflix renewed the show for a third season in June 2019, it said that it would end after the third season. At the time, Netflix didn’t say why they were cancelling the show. They just tweeted, “We’ll see you in 2020 for the third and last season.”
There hasn’t been any more information about why the streaming giant didn’t bring the show back for a season 4, but it’s possible that it was just a creative decision. This way, the series was able to conclude in a satisfying way that wrapped up all the major plot points.

Several main characters die in The Rain season 3, but one of the ones who lives could lead a fourth part on a new platform. As of right now, it doesn’t look like any of the actors or directors have talked about the possibility of a season 4, and there haven’t been any big social media campaigns to #SaveTheRain. Since Netflix decided not to make more episodes, it appears that the number of streams wasn’t good enough. But The Rain could still be brought back to life somewhere else.

The Rain Season 4 Plot
The Rain is a post-apocalyptic series about Simone and Rasmus, two siblings who are trying to stay alive and find their missing father in a dangerous and chaotic world. The rain carried a very contagious virus that killed everyone in the area. The only way to stay alive is to stay out of the rain and stay away from other people who have the disease.
The overall plot of the show was wrapped up in Season 3 when Simone gave an emotional speech about Rasmus. “I wish I could show you what the future will be like. You gave us hope. Thanks to you, we’re here. And in your honour, we are rebuilding the world. You’re in everything I do and everything I think. You’ll always be my sweetheart. I love you.
At the start of the series, the siblings used to look out for one another from the bunker. Now, they have fought so hard that Rasmus has died. Simone has ended up losing her whole family in three seasons, but she now has a purple flower that holds the remedy that will give people a second chance. Fans got the ending they wanted for the series. If the show ever comes back for a fourth season, we expect to see Simone trying to fix the damage caused by the virus.
The Rain Season 3 Review
The Rain is a post-apocalyptic comedy that doesn’t make the most of its premise. Early on, The Rain had an interesting hook and idea, but it soon lost steam and turned into a more standard melodrama. Fans who didn’t like the second season because it didn’t rain and had more of a supernatural feel will be very unimpressed with the final and third seasons. Even though The Rain hinted at a new direction last year, Season 3 goes back to its old ways, with all the same tropes and flaws from before.
No matter how dark or stormy the sky looks, it never rains in any of the six episodes. Instead, the rain is put aside in favour of a final fight that comes down to different ideas about where the world should go in the future. Given that this drama could end the world, it seems oddly small.
The Rain takes some strange side trips that slow down the pace and make the show feel slower than it should. In Episode 4, for example, all of the tension is taken away and replaced with a separate quest. Even worse, the problem is solved by the end of the show and is hardly ever brought up again. This season, like the last, has a lot of plot holes, but the biggest one is how Simone finds a way to solve all of their problems by accident. There is an incredible amount of luck involved, and what’s worse, it basically makes her quest pointless for most of the second season.
Even though it has a lot of problems, The Rain is one of the few shows that is still enjoyable no matter how bad it gets. It’s not a show that will be remembered for a long time, but it’s still interesting enough to watch until the end. It’s not ideal, and the tv series has more problems than you might think. But if you’ve created it this far, you might as well finish off this slice of rain-soaked post-apocalyptic pie.
