Lauren Ambrose’s character, Dorothy Turner, has been very interesting in the three seasons that have passed. In the fourth and last season, Leanne’s (Nell Tiger Free) war the with Church of Lesser Saints gets worse, and she becomes a threat to Spruce Street, Philadelphia, and other places. The plot of the story is about a rich couple from Philadelphia who hire a nanny to care for their “baby.” Dorothy and Sean Turner seem to be happy to have a baby boy, and yet 13 weeks ago, the baby dies. This event hurts Dorothy’s mental health. After going to therapy, they are given a new baby, Jericho, that also helps Dorothy deal with the loss of about there son.
Dorothy thinks that doll is their real son, so after a while, they hire Leanne, this same nanny, to assist in the care of him. When Sean hires Leanne, strange things start to happen that make him think twice about her.
