KonoSuba: May God bless this amazing place! (also Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! in Japan) is a light novel adaptation that inspired a Japanese anime series of the same name. On October 1, 2013, the first volume of the light novel series Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! was released, and on September 9, 2014, the first volume of the corresponding manga series was released. The first season of the anime adaptation of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! aired on January 14, 2016, three years after the novel series first appeared in print. KonoSuba was extended for a second season after being an instant smash with manga and novel readers.
The premiere of Season 2 of the anime series occurred on January 12, 2017, exactly one year after Season 1’s debut. Fans of the program and the source material are still waiting for Season 3, despite the release of a few OVAs in the meanwhile. Everything you have learned regarding Season 3 thus far is included below.
KonoSuba Season 3 Release Date
The third season of KonoSuba will premiere in May, as the creators revealed in a YouTube live stream. During the same live stream, it was stated that there would be a KonoSuba spin-off anime about Megumin and Yunyun’s early days of magic training together.
Those are the only two announcements we have so far, and neither of them has a release date. However, in August, a trailer was released for the spin-off anime and was revealed that the release date would be 2023. Season 3 is also expected to premiere in 2023.
KonoSuba Storyline
A Japanese housebound NEET named Kazuma Sato meets an untimely and humiliating end that is, in its own way, wonderfully ridiculous. Kazuma meets a Goddess named Aqua in the afterlife, and she offers to reincarnate him in a world where he can use his MMORPG gear and abilities to fight monsters and embark on adventures. After being insulted by Aqua, Kazuma decides to take her with him to the new world’s town of Axel. Kazuma eventually learns that her being alive is meaningless due to her carelessness and complacency.
They decide to establish a party and begin recruiting more people because Aqua is unable to go back to her realm until she vanquishes the Devil King. Megumin, a maniacal magician with an obsession with explosions, and Darkness, a masochistic crusader, are the first two members to join. Kazuma resolves to live a normal life in the world after realizing that the team is difficult and that their dysfunctional powers will never allow him to vanquish the devil king. His attempts to avoid conflicts with the Devil King’s generals always backfire.
