The characters and events of Gleipnir go toward the gloomy side. Let’s discuss manga as a medium before diving into the tale. Sun Takeda creates both the text and the artwork for the manga. Kodansha, the publisher of some of the best manga ever published (including AoT), began serializing Gleipnir in October 2015. Soon after, in the otherwise doomsday year of 2020, it was turned into an anime series with the same name.
It’s obvious that not everyone enjoys Gleipnir. There are a lot of confusing elements in it, and it can be unsettling to watch. All the characters act like psychopaths or complete monsters. The first season doesn’t go into depth about everything and has plenty of unsettling moments. Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of the Gleipnir shambles without further ado.
Gleipnir Season 2 Renewal Status
At this time, no credible launch date is mentioned in any of the Gleipnir sources. A second season of Gleipnir, should it is renewed, would likely premiere in the middle of 2022. There has been no word from the creators as of yet.
We believe this because Gleipnr can’t make an entire anime series out of raw supply fabric since there isn’t enough of it. We, the followers, need time to build up a large supply, and a year gives the creator and the labor that time. Since there has been no official word on whether or not Season 2 of Gleipnir will be produced, speculation about the show’s future is out of the question.
What is the storyline of Gleipnir Season 2?
It appears that “Gleipnir” saves its most bizarre and psychosexual moments for the end. The conflict between Shuuichi and Clair and Elena has only added layers of complexity to the coin play and Shuuichi’s history. The fight is cut short by the appearance of a ghostly girl who may or not be Shuuichi’s long-lost buddy Honoka, leaving the outcome of the conflict unclear. But Elena intervenes before this unconquerable ghost can do any harm, wiping Shuuichi’s memory of the alien ship and removing him from Honoka’s hit list.
Regardless, the fight just makes Shuuichi and Clair more eager to track down the ship. However, they may be in for a lot more than they asked for, as they aren’t the only ones trying to find 100 coins and win the game. They’ll encounter several rival collectors, and the subsequent disputes will put their already shaky relationship under strain.

Gleipnir Season 2 Plot Expected Plot
Based on what happens at the end of the first season and what’s to come in the next two volumes of the manga, season two will start with Shuichi, Claire, and Tadanori Sanbe heading to the location of the alien ship crash that started all this trouble on their planet. The road there, however, will not be smooth. Two guardians stand in their way: one is a sword-wielding warrior; the other is a mystery girl who gains her powers from reptiles. Although this fight will be difficult, they will eventually meet Kaito, who can utilize his powers to resurrect the dead. Therefore, it will be extremely difficult to fight Kaito’s army of the dead.
Is It Worth Watching?
Honestly, I’m not sure how to respond. To put it mildly, Gleipnir is for people who get a kick out of body horror, nakedness, and purely disgusting scenes. Other than that, there isn’t much to enjoy about the show. It is a fascinating and exciting premise, but it is poorly executed. The show features excellent fan service, as Claire is frequently seen partially undressed. This, however, causes it to seem to lose focus.
There are still many mysteries to be solved. Claire and Shuichi’s connection is heavily investigated, despite the fact that it can only end in tragedy. The first season premiered in 2020 and consisted of 13 episodes. Therefore, this is a short anime that can be finished in one sitting. Understand, though, that it may cause you some discomfort. Many people have said that it’s the kind of program that causes them to wish to turn off the TV. Obviously, then, not everybody will enjoy this show.
Gleipnir Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of ‘Gleipnir’ began airing on April 5, 2020, and concluded 13 episodes a year later, on June 28, 2020. As the first season of the anime draws to a close, we are introduced to several new characters. This seems to indicate that the show’s producers are already planning for Season 2. The animation studio Pine Jam Studio is responsible for the first season of “Gleipnir,” and they are also responsible for other well-known anime like “Gamers.”
However, none of the studio’s prior anime have been picked up for a second season. However, given that ‘Gleipnir’ has become one of the most well-received anime the studio has produced, they may decide to make an exception for it. ‘Gleipnir’ is based on Sun Takeda’s manga series of the same name, which you may already be familiar with. The manga, which began publication in 2015, will have eight volumes out by 2020. The first season of the anime adapted six of the eight volumes, leaving only two volumes’ worth of material for the second season.
For the time being, though, it appears less probable that ‘Gleipnir’ will be reissued any time soon due to a shortage of source material content. Even though it’s one of the season’s top anime, it won’t be renewed until at least three more volumes of the manga are published. If these three further volumes are released by the end of 2021, then Season 2 of Gleipnir should arrive in 2023.
