Friends From College Plot
The show revolves around a group of lifelong friends who met at Harvard and are now in their forties and adjusting to life as empty nesters. Once they are reunited after 20 years apart, they embark on a series of tragicomic adventures, affairs, and failed efforts at love. A humorous and intricate look at the challenges of reconciling adulthood and nostalgia via the lens of college pals and exes.
However, Friends from College falls short as a complete comedy about a group of close friends who reunite during their midlife crises after graduating from Harvard. Despite the talented cast, critics have slammed the show for being too loud and cringe-inducing. The show isn’t very good at creating compelling characters that are nonetheless entertaining to watch despite their shortcomings.
Despite negative reviews, Season 1 of this show nonetheless managed to pull in a respectable amount of viewers. After a year and a half hiatus, the second season of the comedy finally premiered in January thanks to Netflix’s decision to keep the show going.
