It makes sense that the Adventure Time crew would want to concentrate on Fionna and Cake in their attempts to broaden the series’ world as they were first introduced in this season of the popular animated series.
The two will collaborate with erstwhile Ice King Simon Petrikov in the new series as they travel around the cosmos in search of themselves while evading a new foe out to eliminate them from existence.

The three characters Fionna, Cake, and Simon Petrikov are portrayed in the series by Madeleine Martin, Roz Ryan, and Tom Kenny.

The Adventure Now episode that opens in the Glass Kingdom is titled Obsidian. The yearly ritual commemorating Molto’s defeat is being held by the Glass people.
The See-Thru Princess said that Marceline was responsible for defending the area from Molto the dragon’s devastating fury. After the ceremony, Glassboy sneaks inside the dragon’s lair to affix a scar on his skull.
In the process, he unwittingly saves Molto from the furnace’s flames. Glassboy hurries to alert Marceline to the situation out of no other option. He finds her, but only at the cost of disturbing her inside sanctuary with Bonnibel.
The pair is reluctant to assist since being in the Glass Kingdom makes them feel like they have broken up. They go despite avoiding any negative energy.
However, as soon in the Glass inhabitants notice them, they begin to back Marcy while disparaging Bonnie. We are now shown a flashback of their breakup.
Marcy sings to express her annoyance, but the dragon seems unconvinced. She then makes her way outside in an attempt to find another reason to be angry and frustrated. The programme then goes into further detail on Marcy’s life before she met Simon.
We learn that the sole reason her mother had sent her away was because she had passed several years before. Marcy, on the other hand, was too young to think about that scenario, and it took me a thousand years to discover the reality.
Upon returning, Marcy acknowledges that she is no longer able to feel angry. King Princess eventually records her song, that ends up being a present for lesbians.
With the assistance of Simon Petrikov, a former Ice King, Fionna and Cake set off on a multiverse-hopping odyssey of self-discovery.
