‘Sneakerheads,’ the creation of writer/director Jay Longino, is a Netflix comedy series that provides a bizarre perspective on the subculture of Los Angeles’s sneakerheads. The book is about a dad who stays at home yet used to be obsessed with sneakers. But when one of his friend’s schemes to make quick cash fails, he needs to recover the funds quickly lest his wife discovers the truth. You must have enjoyed the first season of this buddy comedy if you are familiar with Los Angeles and its retail culture. With Season 1 over, we can go on to learn more about Season 2.
Sneakerheads Season 2 Renewal Status
Netflix has not picked up the show for a second season. The first film in the series came released a long time ago. However, the streaming service has not yet decided whether or not to continue airing the show. On IMDB, the series has a 6.1 average rating, while on Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 57% approval rating. As an added note, the program only stayed in Netflix’s top 10 most-watched series for a total of six days. As a result of the show’s lackluster viewership, the streaming service may decide against producing a second season.
In 2021, after the success of the first edition of Sneakerheads, star Allen Maldonado joined the cast of the Starz series Heels. The show has been picked up for a second season as well. Allen seems to have a lot on his plate for the foreseeable future. There is, however, very little hope that Netflix will revive Sneakerheads in the near future. Nonetheless, the comedy show is still airing. So, Season 2 of Sneakerheads is hopefully on the horizon.
Sneakerheads Storyline
After falling for one of Bobby’s wacky schemes, former sneakerhead turned stay-at-home father Devin finds himself in over his head. After Devin’s friend Bobby convinces him to take part in a scam to acquire a legendary pair of sneakers, Devin’s old shoe habit resurfaces.
With their money on the line, the duo is looking for the game’s trickiest goals in the hopes of recouping their losses. Devin decides to go with Bobby and the other sneakerheads as they try to track down the legendary “Zeroes,” the shoes that may perhaps change their life if they could only get a grip on them. In the end, Devin goes home to his wife and confesses everything he did wrong while searching for the best sneaker.

Sneakerheads Season 2 Plot
Devin, a current stay-at-home parent, used to be a sneakerhead. However, he eventually finds himself in a dire financial bind after his long-lost best friend Bobby talks him into a wild scheme. And now he’s $5,000 in the red. Devin and Bobby go on a mission to recover his lost funds from the most sought-after and hard-to-find pairs of shoes in the world before his wife finds out. Netflix describes their adventure as a “global hunt for the elusive Zeroes—the holy grail of hard-to-find kicks,” during which the pair hooks up with a motley crew of other sneakerheads.
After a series of unfortunate events, Devin admits the truth to his wife. She is at first stunned, but she eventually forgives her spouse. While making dinner plans, Devin notices his wife acting strangely. In any case, this cliffhanger marks the conclusion of Season 1. We’re looking forward to seeing how the second season handles this plot surprise and where the characters go from here.
Sneakerheads Season 2 Release Date
Sneakerheads Season 2 on Netflix has not yet been renewed. Unfortunately, we don’t expect an announcement of Season 2 from the streaming service any time soon. Therefore, the show’s return date is uncertain. The program has not been officially canceled, thus its resurrection is still a remote possibility.

Sneakerheads Season 1 Review
Despite its classification as a comedy, Sneakerheads is not very funny. This show is about a bunch of greedy people who are fascinated with shoes. To be more precise, shoes. However, the central mystery stems from the nature of the show’s message.
The plot doesn’t linger on lengthy exposition or scene-setting speech. While his wife pursues her professional goals in the business world, Devin stays home to care for their children. You have to understand that Devin is a recovering shoe junkie who sometimes gives in to temptation. He tricks his wife into thinking they’re going shopping so he can treat himself to a new pair of designer shoes.
The characters are the greatest problem (even worse than the algorithmic script at work). Devin gives in to peer pressure and worries that he has lost touch with today’s youth, which is made worse by the fact that he is a parent. Bobby, who is meant to be his buddy, just makes matters worse by treating his spouse and children as if they were the worst thing in the world. There is some variation to be found in the recurring supporting characters, although they don’t develop much over the course of the season.
