‘Zombieland Saga’ is an original horror-comedy animation created by Studio MAPPA in association with Avex Pictures, Dugout, and Cygames. The protagonists are members of a Japanese pop-idol group called Franchouchou (sometimes spelled Fran Chou Chou), all of whom are undead. In a last-ditch effort to breathe new life into Saga Prefecture, they have been that are brought back to life. The first season of ‘Zombieland Saga’ aired from October 4 to December 20, 2018. Critics were generally kind to the second season of “Zombieland Saga,” also known as “Zombieland Saga: Revenge,” once it premiered. They applauded the show’s music, animation, and plot. After finishing the second season, you may be wondering when the third will be available to stream.
Zombie Land Saga Season 3 Renewal Status
‘Zombie Land Saga’ has not been renewed for a third season as of this writing. Based on the aforementioned ratings, however, its revival is far from impossible. There was also a cliffhanger at the end of the second season that may easily serve as the basis for a third. More information on the renewal is likely to become available in the next several weeks or months. However, there is some excellent news. There are plans to make a Zombie Land Saga anime movie. The announcement was made in October at the Japanese Zombie Land Saga LIVE event. There is a lack of information, including a release date, regarding the anime at this time.
Zombie Land Saga Season 3 Release Date
Season 3 has not been scheduled for airing as of yet because the show has not been renewed. Based on the premiere dates of Seasons 1 and 2, we can confidently say that we anticipate the return of the series with Season 3 in the Spring of 2023.
The first season premiered in October 2018 and ran through December of the same year. The first volume of the manga was published in the same month as the anime began. The anime was picked up for a second season in 2019, but owing to delays, fans had to wait another two and a half years. The second season is also known by the name “Zombie Land Saga: Revenge.”

Zombie Land Saga Season 3 Plot
Franchouchou gives their best performance to date in front of a sold-out crowd at Ekimae Fudsan Stadium in the season 2 finale, but as Kotaro assures them, this is only the start of their wonderful journey. Everybody’s hopes were realized with their performance; hope and optimism were spread across Saga, and the world saw firsthand how tenacious the people of Saga can be in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Kotaro appears to be trying to disguise the fact that he has a bloody cough, which is a sign that he may be quite ill. An alien spaceship appears after the credits and seemingly destroys Earth.
In Season 3, the zombies will face off against aliens, who will likely be represented by an idol group. Even though the aliens tried to wipe out the entire prefecture of Saga, we may find out that some of the city still exists. It’s possible that the Franchouchou girls may once again spearhead Saga’s fight against insurmountable odds. Kotaro’s and Sakura’s storylines could reach a conclusion if they learn what’s going on. In the upcoming season, Tae Yamada may finally return to human consciousness.
