The Mandalorian Season 4 Renewal Status
Season 4 of The Mandalorian is widely expected but has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm. Jon Favreau, in an interview with BFMTV Inside from February 2023, stated that the scripts were ready before Season 3 had even aired. Season Four? I have already written it, by the way. To tell a whole story, we must first have a destination in mind. So, Dave [Filoni] and I had planned it out. The episodes are simply written as they come to you.
This strategy makes logical, considering how many pieces must now be put in place before Filoni’s Mandalorian feature, and how much earlier TV shows running up to it require to be locked in due to the lengthier production time required.
The Mandalorian Season 4 Release Date
Despite the finality of season 3’s climax, Jon Favreau has announced that a fourth season of The Mandalorian is in the works and would premiere in 2025. Production for the new season was supposed to start in 2023 but was postponed due to the 2023 Writers Strike, leading us to estimate a release date of 2025. The fourth season of The Mandalorian was supposedly written by Favreau in February 2023, so if production resumes, things should move quickly.

The Mandalorian Season 4 Expected Plotline
As we near the season’s final episode, there is no clear indication of the direction the series may take in Season 4 of The Mandalorian, which launches on April 19, 2023. Despite Season 3’s focus on Bo-Katan, Sackhoff, Pascal’s Mando, and Grogu will almost certainly return for Season 4. Unless something unexpected happens in the season 3 finale, Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga, should also return. Now that Giancarlo Esposito’s character is back in action, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Moff Gideon live and appear in Season 4 of The Mandalorian.
As the plots involving Ahsoka, the Skelton Crew, and The Acolyte progress in season 4 of The Mandalorian, any of these characters could make an appearance. Keep in mind that several of Filoni’s original cast members have yet to make a comeback. There is currently very little information available concerning season 4 due to the fact that Disney has not officially approved a sequel.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Review
Getting started with Star Wars is challenging. This galaxy far, far away seems to have gone far, far away from the things that made the originals so adored, from the terrible effort at Obi-Wan’s origins in Obi-Wan to the tonally problematic Book of Boba Fett, which abandoned its primary character to focus on Mando for two episodes.
Many viewers were left with a foul taste after watching the sequel trilogy, but The Mandalorian was like a breath of fresh air, a small revolt that dared to stand up to Disney’s endless dark muck of mediocrity. Season 3’s aimless and occasionally comic storytelling brings the house of cards crashing down on this uprising.
The Mandalorian has a lot of personalities, yet none of them are developed very effectively. It’s hard to fathom how somebody could come up with an idea as silly as Grogu. A solid, interrelated tale that doesn’t feel like an abandoned side mission from a blockbuster videogame is hard to come by, and it seems as though the writing team had a few ideas and tried to smush them together in probably the most head-scratching way imaginable.
Unfortunately, the terrible writing doesn’t end with the fabricated plots. At times, the writing is terrible, and “guest stars” like Lizzo don’t do much to improve the universe with their stilted performances. The creators have had two years to come up with stuff, and yet many of these episodes are only 30 minutes long, so there is also a lot of filler.
