The Baby-Sitters Club Season 3 Renewal Status
The Baby-sitters Club has ended its run. On March 11, 2022, the news broke. Deadline reports that the series was canceled due to poor ratings.
Why was The Baby-Sitters Club Season 3 canceled?
Disappointment at the decision to end production after two successful seasons was widespread. It was suggested at the time that this choice showed Netflix didn’t care about or understand its young female audience. Shukert elaborated on her concern that the streaming site relied too heavily on algorithms to determine success when she explained why Netflix dropped Baby-Sitters Club.
Although critics from a wide variety of demographics have praised The Baby-Sitters Club, Shukert noted that the show was only being advertised to its presumed target audience of young people. Because of this, there was a general feeling that Netflix hadn’t given the adaptation enough breathing room.
