The first episode of the HBO series Silicon Valley aired in April 2016. Three people, Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky, came up with the idea for the show. Silicon Valley Season 7 Renewal Status
Despite the show’s enormous popularity and wealth of material, creators and executive producers Mike Judge and Alec Berg announced before the airing of Season 6 that it would be the last. They told Deadline that they will miss the show, but that this was always how they envisioned the end of Pied Piper. The finale of the sixth season, then, seems fitting.
From its inception, the show has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim. Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic both gave the most recent season-high marks. Bill Gates, who appeared in the series’ final episode, also said in an interview that he is a dedicated viewer of the show. HBO has not yet decided whether or not to terminate the show despite its massive success and five nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards. As a result, the possibility exists that Silicon Valley will have a seventh season.

Silicon Valley Season 7 Plot
After a ten-year time leap, the last season provided fitting farewells to all of the characters in a documentary manner. While Gilfoyle and Dinesh ran a cybersecurity firm out of their home and Gavin Belson had written over thirty romance novels, they lived next door to each other. While Jared started working with the elderly, Monica joined the NSA. Richard, a professor at Stanford, now reported to Big Head, his new supervisor. Laurie Bream, however, has been spotted in prison for reasons that remain unclear.
Co-creator Alec Berg defended the documentary-style finale by saying it let them conclude the show on an exciting note. The original strategy, developed after the second season, was never shown on air. The denouement was remarkably similar to their planned ending. Everyone, including themselves, knew in the end that the documentary-style finish would work, Alec said.

Both the premiere and the series finale of the sixth season of Silicon Valley had increases in viewership of approximately 20% compared to the corresponding episodes of the fifth season. The sixth season of Silicon Valley was positively received by viewers and reviewers alike. Review aggregator Metacritic gave the show an 81 out of 100, while IMDb users gave it a standard rating of 9.
