The series, which is the highlight of Apple TV+, has just released the season four finale. In addition, Season 5 of Servant has been the subject of much speculation. As such, we felt it was our duty to fill you in on all the details we know about Season 5 of Servant at this time.
This series was developed by Tony Basgallop and is executive produced by the acclaimed filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. It also stars Toby Kebbell, Rupert Grint, and Nell Tiger Free, as well as Lauren Ambrose. Given the show’s intrigue, Servant’s fans are waiting eagerly for season five to premiere.
Servant Season 5 Renewal Status
Servant, as of this writing, has not been picked up for a fifth season on AppleTV+. It comes as a surprise that Servant season 4 has been billed as the last, given Apple’s history of renewing several of its shows. Apple and other streaming services typically consider a variety of factors, including the show’s initial viewership and subsequent viewership decline, when deciding whether or not to renew a show. Sometimes a decision is reached about a show’s future fast (like with Squid Game or Bridgerton & Shantaram), while other times it can take months.
The reception of Servant has been lukewarm at best, with many viewers complaining about the show’s slow pace and lack of progression throughout the past few seasons. Nonetheless, the last episodes of Season 4 have provided some much-needed tension and explanations for the show’s central mysteries. We predict that this is not being renewed for a fifth season because of how the show is structured and how it has been promoted leading up to its debut.
Servant Season 5 Release Date
M. Night Shyamalan is useful for this purpose. The show’s creator has stated categorically that Season 4 will be the last. He plotted out the entire plot for the first four seasons, and the show was always intended to last for only that many episodes. Season 5 of Servant would have premiered in January 2024 if the show had continued.
So, it seems like there won’t be Season 5 of Servant for viewers to enjoy. Initially, Shyamalan thought the show would last for six seasons, each with 10 episodes. The shocking turn of events at the end of Servant’s season finale didn’t detract from an otherwise rewarding conclusion. While it’s unfortunate that the show won’t be returning for more seasons, at least viewers will be able to say goodbye to their favorite characters and storylines.
