The action animation Princess Principal, created by Studio 3Hz and Actas, has a Japanese name of Purinsesu Purinshiparu. The first season of the program debuted on July 9, 2017, and was written by Ichirō Ōkouchi of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and directed by Masaki Tachibana.
From September 27, 2017, until February 23, 2018, six special episodes titled Princess Principal Picture Drama were published, thanks to the show’s huge popularity. Princess Principal Season 2 Renewal Status
Viewers were blown away by the first season of the anime. There was critical acclaim for the show as well. Yet, a second season has already been confirmed by the producers. However, a six-part film series was announced instead of Princess Principal Season 2. Director Masaki Tachibana has expressed a strong desire to produce a second season of the anime. He would rather produce anime movies, however, since they are not strapped for cash.
Princess Principal Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 of Princess Principal has not been formally confirmed by the studio, as mentioned before. Nobody knows where it is right now.
To put it simply, the studio is swamped with film production right now. They may or may not announce a second season after the release of the film’s last portion. Once again, the studio has complete control over the situation, so fans have no choice but to patiently await their news on the anime series.
You should not have any expectations right now. There would be a three-year delay in the release of all of the films. By that point, the studio would have probably moved on to other projects and ceased production of the program. Princess Principal Story
Albion is a made-up country that serves as a metaphor for Britain in Princess Principal. Albion became the world’s leading power in the early 20th century when its king built a fleet of highly armed airships using a strange mineral dubbed “cavorite” that it had monopolized.
However, the lower classes of Albion tried to depose the royal family in the “London Revolution” after becoming enraged at the ruling elite for mostly disregarding their misery. After much back-and-forth, the two factions finally agreed to build a massive wall across the center of London, dividing Albion into the Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
To have an agent in the royal family, the Commonwealth starts “Operation Changeling” a few years later intending to replace Princess Charlotte of the Kingdom with Ange, a girl who looks quite similar to her. But the Princess betrays the spies by agreeing to collaborate with the Commonwealth in exchange for Ange and her companions’ assistance in her ascension to the throne of the kingdom.
As the narrative starts, five girls, including the Princess, are enrolled as students at the famous Queen’s Mayfair school. They act as undercover spies in the Kingdom, working for the Commonwealth.

Princess Principal Season 2: Will it ever happen?
They have already launched a six-part film series, and the director has said that they would want to collaborate on a picture. “Princess Principal: Crown Handler,” the pilot episode of the series, debuted on February 11, 2021. The anime series’ first season was followed by this second installment.
Hence, the creators will carry on the tale, but they will restrict it to a cinematic format. The anime series is not in their plans at this time. In addition, the sixth film will probably be the series finale. Consequently, a second season of Princess Principal is very unlikely to ever air.
