Character design is a skill that Naoyuki Onda and Chiyoko Sakamoto, whose also serve as main animation directors, excel at.

They take a leisurely stroll down the beach later that evening and are amusingly recognized as a pair by an old woman who offers to snap their photo.
Ren enthusiastically concurs, and the two get into a playful sand-throwing argument. Ren feels an intense sensation of warmth and love for Kanata.
Ogata, in the meantime, approaches Kanata without a suggestion to change the prize money distribution from 50/50 to 20/80. This arrangement is deemed just by Kanata.
