Fans of Julia Garner can now start their binge-watching, as one of the wildest true instances of deceit and fraud in recent years has found its way to Netflix. Anna Delvey, a so-called German heiress living it up in New York City, is the subject of Inventing Anna. The cast is headed by Ozark’s very own, who has a terrible funny accent, and includes Anna Chlumsky from Veep, Arian Moayed from Succession, and Laverne Cox from Orange is the New Black.
If you agree with me that Inventing Anna is the finest Netflix show of 2022 thus far, then you may be wondering if the show will be renewed for a second season. What we know is as follows.
Inventing Anna Season 2 Renewal Status
Neither the Shondaland crew nor the Netflix executives have any plans to continue developing Inventing Anna. The actual Sorokin reportedly received $320,000 from Netflix to allow the streaming service to adapt her life tale, and the show’s status as a “limited series” usually indicates that there will not be a second season.
However, there is plenty of space for more stories if Sorokin/Delvey’s protracted con continues. For example, Big Little Lies was originally planned for a single season, but it ended up having two. Nonetheless, Rhimes and company appear content for the pilot episode of Inventing Anna to function independently.
Inventing Anna Season 2 Release Date
The premiere date for Season 2 of Inventing Anna has not been announced as of yet. Like the first season of Inventing Anna, it might appear on Netflix, and the second season of the show could make its debut in late 2022.
Season 1 of Inventing Anna premiered on February 11, 2022. Netflix started streaming it. Season 1 of Inventing Anna dropped all its episodes simultaneously.

Inventing Anna Season 2 Plot
The final episode of the previous season took place at the trial, where Anna testified in favor of retaining her clothes. But her attorney, Todd Spodek, urged her to have faith in him and tried to invite her father to the trial. However, he did not survive. The jury read its decision and found her guilty of theft from hotels, retail establishments, and a private aviation firm. She served a four-year sentence for this.
Vivian’s final visit to Anna marked the end of the series. She begged him to come back to see her often. Vivian, however, opted not to see Anna after having to deal with her disruptive conduct. As a result, the broadcast concluded with a news article detailing the conclusion to her narrative. Season 2 of Inventing Anna, should it be renewed, would focus on Anna’s life after she is freed from prison. Her life, it is reported, is in motion, so Season 2 of Inventing Anna should have plenty of material to explore.

Inventing Anna Season 1 Review
The melodrama Inventing Anna veers wildly between denouncing and defending its con artist heroine, making it bloated and disjointed. Given that the courageous detective Vivian Kent receives almost as much screen time as the protagonist, it’s possible that this portrayal is overdone.
Despite certain flaws, Inventing Anna is nevertheless a fun show to watch because of its charming protagonist. Anna has plenty of sass, confidence, and arrogance. At the beginning of each episode, the tagline brags, “This whole story is completely true, except for the parts that are totally made up.” Inventing Anna does a passable job of blending the lines between the two, but holy cow, the show’s ethics are all over the place.
When it comes to sophistication and sexiness, Inventing Anna is one of the series that thinks it’s better than it actually is. While Anna Delvey appears to be the part, Inventing Anna aims for the complexity of The Queen’s Gambit but ends up with the bare bones of Emily in Paris.
