I Am Groot is an American animated short series produced by Disney+ and directed by Kirsten Lepore. It’s based on the same-named character from Marvel Comics and stars actors from the MCU. On August 10, 2022, the first episode of the series debuted on Disney+.
In addition to Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and James Gunn, Lepore serves as an executive producer. It’s series of Marvel Studios shorts with Ryan in charge of writing and Kirsten Lepore in charge of directing. Season 4 of the MCU includes the show. I Am Groot Season 2 Renewal Status
Marvel Studios has officially announced that production on I Am Groot Season 2 will begin in 2018. The news was dropped during San Diego Comic-Con 2022 during Marvel’s animation panel. Season 2 of I Am Groot will contain an additional five episodes, though specifics have been retained under wraps.
I Am Groot Season 2 Release Date
The release date for the second season of the MCU series is uncertain, but given the very short length of each episode and the fact that production has already begun on it, we could see new episodes as early as 2023. Groot’s sneaky attempt to produce a card for the Guardians, his family, while they’re all asleep on the ship at the end of Season 1 was also a lot of fun. He steals from everyone to make a beautiful card, but the whole thing goes wrong and the ship sinks. Rocket does make a cameo appearance.

A member of the Guardians who are a genetically modified raccoon bounty hunter and a master of weapons and military tactics. Director Kirsten Lepore described Rocket as a “bit of a scolding parent” towards Groot, but still his friend “with a soft heart”, with Winderbaum stating that Rocket feels responsible for Groot as “an unlikely parent”.
I Am Groot Season 2 Storyline
While the story’s specifics remain tightly concealed. As has been widely speculated, I Am Groot, Marvel Studios’ second animated series, will focus on the time period between the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the mid-credits scene where we see Groot’s transformation into a teenager.
It has been claimed that this unique series provides a lovely look at Baby Groot’s early days, demonstrating his relationships and coexistence with the dynamic Rocket and introducing fascinating new extraterrestrial beings.
