Only in the realm of anime could a harem storyline featuring angels and devils be made interesting. High School DxD is an anime that has been doing this for a long time. The anime was adapted from a series of light novels by Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero, the first of which was released in 2008. The anime series followed suit, airing its first season in 2012.
The magical adventures and comedic antics of High School DxD’s four seasons, as well as the show’s famous characters, have been greatly enjoyed by viewers. It’s not surprising that fans are eager for the next book in this series. It’s a relief, then, that The Cine Talk has announced that High School DxD will return for a fifth season. This is everything we know about the upcoming fifth season of High School DXD.
What is High School DxD About?
The protagonists attend Kuoh Academy, often known as Ku Gakuen, a once-all-girls institution that has recently become coeducational. However, many fallen angels, both good and evil, call this institution their home, and no one outside of the school knows this. Issei Hyoudou plays the lead role in the series.
Issei is a promiscuous guy who wants to date all the hot females at school and eventually have his own harem. When the stunning Yuuma Amano asked him out, he couldn’t believe his luck. Yuma stabs him to death, but he has no idea that she is actually a fallen angel named Raynare. However, Issei is given a second chance at life by a stunning senior named Rias Gremory. Rias was a first-rate devil, and she used Issei’s return to life for her own ends. She uses Issei as her slave in the Occult Research Club at school.
Issei has been given a second chance at life, but he must now train to battle for his own survival in a world populated by both angels and demons. As the episode progresses, it becomes apparent that the normally level-headed and careful Knight of the Occult Research Club, Yuuto Kiba, is having some kind of problem. A dark and terrible past when Kiba was subjected to a brutal experiment is revealed to Issei as the root of Kiba’s peculiar personality. An old enemy comes back with new secrets as Issei tries to discover more about them, leaving him and his allies to fight back.
High School DxD Season 5 Cast
There has been no announcement regarding the season 5 cast of High School DxD. According to The Cinemaholic, the original cast members will be reprising their roles from previous seasons. The voice of Issei Hyudu will be provided by Yuki Kaji, while that of Koneko Toujou will be provided by Ayana Taketaksu, that of Akeno Himejima by Shizuka Ito, and that of Asia Argento by Azumi Asakura.
High School DxD’s first three seasons were produced by Studio TNK. However, Studio Passione was responsible for Season 4. The fourth season was directed by Yoshifumi Sueda. Many viewers of High School DxD were dissatisfied with this development and even started petitions demanding that the show reverted to its original season one aesthetic.
High School DxD Season 5 Expected Plot
High School DxD Season 5 could adapt the eleventh and twelfth volumes of the original light novel series, as the first ten volumes have been published since the beginning of season four. The new season will kick off with the promotion exam for the middle class, the results of which are used to define a devil’s level of proficiency.
If Issei does well on the test, it won’t make much of a difference because he’ll still be in the bottom half of his class. Koneko, on the other hand, has learned that Issei and Rias are growing closer to one another. Issei seems concerned and is giving it some thought; she apparently wants to find a method to alleviate her fears.
We have no official synopsis or trailer for the future season of this anime, so these are just our predictions. As the sexual arousal of female high school students continues, every girl will try to make physical contact with Issei. He will likely be employed as a professor at the university, where he will serve as a mentor and role model to the female students.
High School DxD Season 5 Release Date
On April 17, 2018, the fourth season of High School DxD debuted, and it concluded on July 3, 2018. However, there has been no information on the fifth season. Nonetheless, Ichieie Ishibumi, the creator of the light novels, is said to have confirmed the upcoming season 5 and urged readers to keep purchasing the light book series. The animation could be rushed up if fans keep buying the light novels.
The first half of Season 4 aired the Hero Oppai Dragon manga arc, which spans Volumes 9 and 10. That there is material for a fifth season suggests that the plot arc will likely be continued and volumes 11 and 12 adapted. Passion Studio, however, has not yet responded.
