The manga series Haikyu originates from Japan. Haruichi Furudate penned the story and drew the illustrations. However, the show is a sports-themed comedy. Shy Hinata, the protagonist, is a small lad with big dreams of becoming a professional volleyball player. The show follows him as he strives to become a professional volleyball player. A total of 45 volumes of the manga were released via Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Taku Kishimoto and Susumu Mitsunaka and Masako Sat adapted the manga into an anime television series. Over the course of the show’s five seasons, 90 episodes have been created. Furthermore, an anime film based on Haikyu exists.
Haikyuu Season 5 Renewal Status
Season 5 of ‘Haikyu! has not been officially announced as of this writing. Season 4 ended years ago, and there has been no word about a renewal from development I.G., Weekly Shonen Jump, or anybody else involved in the anime’s development.
But in August of 2022, it was revealed that only two more movies would be made in the series. Haikyuu!! Final is a film series that will follow the events that occur in the anime and act as a climax to the story. The release date of the first film is slated for late 2023.
About the Haikyuu Series
The popular “Haikyuu!! ” anime and manga were both developed by Haruichi Furudate. The story follows the Karasuno High School volleyball team as they strive to become one of Japan’s best. The protagonist, Shoyo Hinata, is a short-statured volleyball player who has high aspirations to become one of Japan’s best. He decides to join the legendary volleyball team at Karasuno High School. With the help of his new allies, notably the talented but reclusive Tobio Kageyama, Shoyo plans to take Karasuno to new heights.
Throughout the series, the team faces off against other formidable high school squads like those from Nekoma High, Aoba Johsai High, and Fukurodani Academy in a number of exciting and tense contests. The players’ off-court lives, including their relationships and hardships, are also explored in the show. The show’s dynamic characters, thrilling action sequences, and heartfelt narrative have all garnered high acclaim. Fans of the show are so invested that they have created artwork, costumes, and even volleyball leagues based on the show’s themes.

Haikyuu Season Recap
Tobio Kageyama was selected to attend the National Youth Training Camp at the conclusion of Season 3. Nekoma and Kotaro Bokuto pose an enormous danger in the spring inter-high competition. When facing them in the Tokyo Training Camp, Karasuno had never come out on top. Lev Haiba, meantime, was rapidly developing his abilities. The competitors were set to go to Tokyo for Nationals before the first OVA aired. There will be a cut to the top three teams alone. Itachiyama Institute, Nekoma High, and Fukorodani Academy all made it to the national tournament.
Itachiyama Institute emerged victorious against Fukorodani Academy in the end. Without permission, Kei Tsukishima brought Hinata along to Shiratorizawa Academy’s summer camp. A new role for Hinata: ball boy. He did a good job on his first day of practice. Hinata can’t stop thinking about the dances and trying to figure out what sets them apart from him. A split step was being used by them. Hinata decides to give it a go, too. He was slowly putting into effect certain deliberate actions. Hinata receives advice from Kageyama.
The real competition begins once all the preliminary rounds have been played. The opening game goes to Karasuno High. The premiere of Haikyuu Season 5 is next on the agenda.
Haikyuu Season 5 Plot
Story developments in the current season of Haikyuu (To the Top) have brought up intriguing scenarios without making things as convoluted as they were in previous seasons. Karasuno has qualified for the nationals, where it will compete against teams from around the country. Things are really starting to heat up, as Kageyama and Hinata have both come a long way from prior seasons. They will undoubtedly give it their best no matter the difficulty of the task.
Some new characters have also shown up, and we can expect to see more of them as the season progresses. The youth training camp has also introduced its various members, some of whom seem to be more skilled and provide the possibility of more intriguing plot development. By being true to himself, Hinata has made even more friends and gained unauthorized access to Tsukishima’s training facility.
Haikyuu Season 5 Release Date
On April 6, 2014, the first collection of the Japanese manga series Haikyuu was made available to readers. Season 5 of a program that became a hit almost immediately after its premiere has finally here. As the fifth season of Haikyuu approaches, fans are eager to know when they can tune in. Season 5 of Haikyuu is expected to premiere in August 2023. However, these are just inferences.
