Gotham Storyline
The city of Gotham is essential to the program, as it is where Bruce Wayne (Batman) resides. This ever-changing metropolis is rife with underhanded dealings and hidden agendas. It’s not your usual Batman origin story, but rather the account of how Detective James Gordon became a major player in Gotham City long before Batman himself showed up.
Gordon is tasked with unraveling the city of Gotham’s many mysteries and secrets in order to bring law and order back to the corrupt metropolis. Gordon prepares the way for Batman to become the Dark Knight in this way. Even while the show isn’t focused on Batman per se, it serves an integral purpose in the Batman canon and provides further context for the narrative.

Gotham Season 6 Plot
Season 6 of Gotham was supposed to take place after the events of Season 5, when Bruce Wayne became Batman. In this version of events, Gordon and his comrades would be responsible for protecting Gotham City from criminals like Penguin and Catwoman, and they would also keep an eye on Bruce to make sure he doesn’t go over into vigilante territory.
It would have been intriguing to watch how Gordon adjusts to the modifications to Gotham City and if he is able to catch up with the new wave of villains that began to take control. Other DC Comics characters including Harley Quinn, Green Arrow, and Supergirl could have appeared in crossover episodes. What transpired in Season 6 is anyone’s guess, but alas, we’ll never know.
