Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma Season 6: Is It Renewed For Another Season?

Food Wars is an intense anime with a novel premise that revolves around the process of cooking. Even something as seemingly routine as cooking can be rendered baffling by this animation. Each character has their own voice and is written in a way that makes the audience care about them. There is also a considerable amount of fan service, to the point where the show occasionally neglects its central concept in favor of it. But it’s a fascinating anime with interesting protagonists and a fascinating story. It has aired for a total of five seasons, and we’re about to talk about Season 6 of Food Wars.

Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma Season 6 Renewal Status

Despite our hopes, it appears that Food Wars will not be returning for a sixth-season of the anime. Season 5 of Food Wars was officially renewed not long after the conclusion of season 4. There is a catch, though: Season 5 will be the last one. Emotional fans reacted to the September 25, 2020, finale of Season 5 (Shokugeki no Soma: The Fifth Plate).

However, fans shouldn’t lose faith because anime can yet return in different forms, such as OVAs, prequel series, or a movie. Two OVAs aired in 2016, two in 2017, and one in 2018 bringing the total to five. As of the time of this writing, there have been no announcements regarding any upcoming OVAs or films based on the popular series, but who knows what the future holds? We promise to update you when new information becomes available.

Food Wars season 5 ending

There was a wide range of fan reactions to the season finale. Some viewers are sad because their beloved series is ending. The final episode of yet another fantastic series has aired. Food Wars, which aired for five fantastic years, has finally ended, and it ends beautifully. The show holds a special place in my heart because I remember watching it when it initially aired. Many people are curious about the status of Soma and Erina’s relationship. To paraphrase, “Give me the Ova of it, or anything else!” he tweeted.

The fifth season of “Food Wars” just wrapped up. And it brought me a lot of happiness. It was an emotional upheaval. I hope one day Soma will come clean and admit she is a TL Erina or anything like that. The end of the show has arrived. A devoted follower pleaded, “Give me the ova of it, or something else!” via Twitter. Obviously, a lot of people think the ending falls short.

Why do fans think Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Season 6 is still possible?

Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma Season 6 is quite unlikely given that the series ended with the Fifth Plate. Even so, Season 6 of Food Wars has fans holding out hope. To be fair, it’s standard practice to keep popular titles in circulation. Some professionals in the business believe that Season 6 of Food Wars! is inevitable in light of the show’s massive popularity and committed fan base. Production, however, may be slowed because of the toll the COVID-19 pandemic is inflicting on the film industry.

The premiere of Season 4 of Food Wars! led many to believe that the last season of the anime series would be it’s last. However, J.C. Staff Studio surprised us all by renewing Food Wars for a fifth season.

Reviews

I was intrigued by the idea of a food-themed animation. It’s great for binge-watching because the focus is on the delicious food. The animation perfectly captures the essence of deliciously cooked food, from its aroma to its satiating fullness. The premise is simple: the story follows a young child as he develops and competes against other students at a cooking school in his quest to become a great chef. Although it lacks originality, it serves its purpose.

Different races and personalities populate the plot, but everyone ends up being sympathetic. The anime’s one major weakness is the excessive use of ecchi and fan service in depicting the characters’ reactions to the cuisine, which may be a high point for some viewers but a turnoff for others.

But hey, at least we know what to expect because this is an anime. In the end, I found this to be a charming animation, and I enjoyed both of the dubbed seasons very well. After a three-year absence, I finally caught up with Season 3 and was disappointed to find that the anime had slowed down and become less engaging.

Where can I watch Food Wars?

Netflix only has the most recent three seasons of Food Wars, but Crunchyroll has all of them.
