Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with all the details that you want to know about the premiere of Season 7 of Community, including the full list of returning cast members.
Community Season 7 Renewal
There are occasional rumors that a seventh season of Community could materialize, but this is quite unlikely. A film adaptation of Community would have a better shot of success. There was also a hashtag campaign (inspired by an episode of Community) in favor of the idea: #sixseasonsandamovie.
In 2015, Dan Harmon came up with the movie concept. Speaking to TVLine, he said, “We wait a little bit, let [the cast] explore their awesome careers, and then we get together for an awesome movie.” In 2017, he was still musing over the concept. Alison Brie and Danny Pudi have both come out in support of the film and expressed their want to star in it. On Watch What Happens Live in 2018, however, Joel McHale laughed about how hard it was to convince Donald Glover to return and mentioned that Dan Harmon was extremely busy with his animated smash Rick & Morty.
The story is inspired by author Mark Harmon’s time spent at a community college. The protagonist, former attorney Jeff Winger, is at the center of the action. Who was fired from his position as an attorney? It was then revealed that his Columbia University degree was a forgery. He decided to enroll at Greendale Community College in Colorado in order to earn a legitimate degree. To get together with his pals, he acts as though he is leading a study group. In spite of their differences, they formed strong bonds of friendship. Where they start out and what difficulties they encounter. You’ll love this show because of the characters and their stories.
- Joel McHale as Jeff Winger
- Gillian Jacobs as Britta Perry
- Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir
- Yvette Nicole Brown as Shirley Bennett
- Alison Brie as Annie Edison
- Donald Glover as Troy Barnes
- Ken Jeong as Ben Chang
- Chevy Chase as Pierce Hawthorne
- Jim Rash as Craig Pelton
Community Season 7 Expected Plot
Season 7 of Community is still in the realm of possibility at this moment, so the show’s plot may be about anything. Since many of the original study group members did not fit the stereotypical college student profile, the fact that the cast is already well past college age is not necessarily a problem.
Season 6 of Community left up with potential stories for season 7, so it’s something to keep in mind if that season ends as happening. Both Jeff and Britta had established careers; Jeff taught at a small college while Britta was a bartender. Abed was leaving for a job as a production assistant on a sitcom, and Annie had secured an internship with the FBI.
The most straightforward and natural plan of action would be for Abed to produce a sitcom based on his time at Greendale Community College, with the gang from back in the day serving as advisers. An entire season of Community or even simply a movie based on this concept may be interesting to watch.
Community Season 7 Trailer
There has been no Season 7 of Community trailer published as of yet. The previous season’s trailer is available for your viewing pleasure. And you can catch up if you haven’t seen the series already.
A Community seems more likely than a season 7
This is a quote from the episode “Paradigms of Human Memory” for those who don’t get the inside joke that has supported years of “Save our Show” efforts for the Community. Jeff indicates that Abed, a monotonous pop culture fanatic played by Danny Pudi, will lose one of his favorite series, to which Abed responds, “Six seasons and a movie.” Fans of the show found inspiration in that phrase, and it was even joked about being responsible for multiple renewals.
Despite the joke’s allusion to six seasons plus a film, Harmon and several of the cast have consistently stated that they will return for a seventh. Despite the fact that Donald Glover and other members of the main ensemble left the show before it ended, Harmon is eager to return as a director if the stars align and the cast is on board. Cast and creator agree that a movie is more probable than a seventh season, given the show’s rating history and the demanding schedules of its former stars.
Netflix, which has supported program revivals and movie spin-offs like the Breaking Bad feature El Camino, has just added all six seasons of Community. Who can say, then? It’s possible that the promised six seasons and the movie will be delivered to the audience.
