Created by Pierrot Studios and Too Kyo Games, the dystopian sci-fi anime ‘Akudama Drive’ features magnificent visuals, ethically questionable characters, and an exhilarating plot. The story takes place in a parallel universe Japan where the Kanto and Kansai areas fought and lost a devastating war. Eventually, Kanto was triumphant, and it made the other area its vassal. A deadly criminal gang known as the Akudama emerges in Kansai after a few years have passed and law and order in the region progressively deteriorates. The plot kicks off with the hiring of many Akudamas to aid in the escape of the crazed killer Cutthroat from jail. Swindler, another crook, joined them during the time of the raid.
The show has been well-received by audiences everywhere ever since it first debuted. Tomohisa Taguchi and Norimitsu Kaih, both of whom have written and directed films, have said that they were influenced by Quentin Tarantino and Ridley Scott, respectively. Season 1 concluded on a rather satisfying note, but there is already a lot of buzz for season 2. What we do know about it is as follows:
