In her personal and professional life, she acts with self-assurance and autonomy. Natsume Hyakuta, on the other hand, is a young actress who is struggling with issues in both her personal and professional lives as she attempts to find her footing and her place in the world.

Followers Season 2 Plot
Why do you always take the advice of those who don’t understand you? Why don’t you take the advice of the individuals who care about you? In today’s world when social media reigns supreme, it’s likely that many of us have really said this. The show centers on two ladies whose lives are mirrored in Tokyo.
Natsume is an actress-in-training with a strong commitment to social justice. Limi, a well-known photographer, changes her life forever by posting a candid portrait of her online, which quickly becomes a viral sensation. Natsume’s career evolves from many auditions to glamorous red-carpet appearances. But she lets her accomplishments go to her head, and everything she has worked for collapses around her.
Limi, a fashion photographer (loosely based on Mika Ninagawa’s life), is on the other end of the story and has everything but a child of her own. By the end of the first season, Natsume has resurrected her profession with the help of her friends, and Limi has conceived a child.
Women’s experiences in today’s competitive world, where success is often gauged by the number of likes or followers on social media platforms, may be explored further in Season 2. Natsume’s rise to fame will be closely watched while Limi juggles work, romance, and parenthood.

Followers Season 1 Review
Though taste in clothing can be subjective, the latest Japanese series to hit Netflix, Followers, comes out more like a catwalk flop than a stylish new addition to the racks. Following the meteoric rise and fall of Japanese social media influencers seems like ideal fodder for an insightful series on the social consequences of our digital age. However, Followers plays out a lot more on the straight and narrow, with characters who are tough to warm to, some problematic scene composition, and a tale that fails to inspire any form of enthusiasm across the course of its nine episodes in this first season.
Work-life balance, relationships, children, and even the impact of social media make brief appearances throughout the series. This episode delves into the latter theme at the show’s midpoint when Natsume is subjected to online criticism for her remarks. These moments, which offer a contemplative perspective on the dark side of these platforms, are the show’s true highlights. The series’ plot isn’t based on this, but rather on the characters’ developing relationships and the conflicts inside their own families.
