Australian comedy-drama Wellmania has just been added to Netflix. The show’s creator, Brigid Delaney, also wrote the source novel. Wellmania: Rough Trips on the Path to Health is the title of the book. Liv, a culinary critic, and human tornado, is stranded in Australia after receiving a devastating health diagnosis. Her New York City dream job is threatened, so she embarks on a radical health and fitness mission to get herself back home. Does this mean there won’t be a season 2? Come with me, I have ideas.
Wellmania Season 2 Renewal Status
Although it has not been officially announced, the cliffhanger finale of Wellmania suggests that the show will return for a second season. Around a week after its initial release, the show is getting closer to the top of the UK Netflix charts, which bodes well for its chances of being renewed. We’ll be sure to update this page whenever new information becomes available.
What is Wellmania about?
Based on Brigid Delaney’s novel Wellmania: Misadventures in the Search for Wellness, Netflix’s Wellmania is a drama-comedy. Celebrity chef Liv (Celeste Barber) takes a weekend trip from New York to Australia to celebrate her best friend’s birthday.
She finds out she’ll be a judge on an upcoming food competition series just before she leaves New York, but she wants to generate some publicity for herself first. Liv is stuck in Australia after losing her green card and has no way to return to the US. After failing the health exam required to renew her green card, she decides to try the “Bondi Cleanse” in an effort to improve her health and return to the United States.

What could be the plot of Wellmania Season 2?
At the climax of Season 2, Lorraine is fatally struck by a van. This occurs in Sydney as Lorraine is clearing up Liv’s belongings. At the end of the broadcast, Gaz and Dalbert are at the hospital trying to phone Liv, but Liv is too engrossed in her cooking show to answer.
If a second season is made, we can expect it to focus on Lorraine’s life following the plane catastrophe. What happened to her? Liv’s feelings after her mother’s accident will also be discussed. She may return to Australia if she has to choose between her profession and her family.
Wellmania Season 2 Release Date
There has been no confirmation on when season two would premiere. Netflix has a reputation for secrecy, but if a show is successful with its audience, the company will probably announce a renewal within a few months. We may have to wait a while to find out what happens to the shows, considering the pilot episodes only debuted on March 29.
Assuming that members enjoy Wellmania (which they appear to do based on the show’s prominence on Netflix’s homepage), new episodes won’t be available until at least the spring of 2024.

Wellmania Season 1 Review
“Wellmania” has all the makings of a silly comedy program, with its protagonist being a lady who is lethargic, desperate, prone to tantrums and antics, and unconcerned with how others perceive her. Olivia “Liv” Healy is given a character arc that succeeds in some but fails in others. Olivia meets a woman-child who loses it when things don’t go her way, so she decides to take things slowly in the hopes that she would eventually figure out how to solve her main problem: getting the green card.
The show sped over the explanation for Liv’s blackouts to get to the more interesting topic of relationships, leaving viewers puzzled. The significance of her recalling her father’s death and how she felt about it was underdeveloped. There were a lot of side stories that didn’t add anything to the story. The writers’ intention to highlight Liv’s shortcomings in the screenplay ultimately backfires, as she comes across as unpleasant at times.
The show also veered towards drama, and many of her issues were resolved in overly basic ways. The ending of the episode demonstrates how formulaic the script and plot were. Also, why can’t everyone just send a group text about the sudden crisis? If the other person isn’t picking up the phone, there’s no point in continuing to contact them. This is such a juvenile way to close the episode. Season one of “Wellmania” should have ended on a more satisfying note.
