Shahmaran is the latest dark fantasy show on Netflix. It is one of several Turkish shows on the service. Serenay Sarikaya plays Sahsu, a Ph.D. candidate from Istanbul who gets a job as a guest lecturer at a university in Adana. While she is there, she gets involved with a mysterious group that thinks Sahsu might have something to do with a mythical prophecy.
Shahmaran debuted on January 20, and its romantic and mystical aspects have already made it a hit with audiences. Netflix is likely to take a while to decide whether or not to keep the show going, but many fans are hoping for a second season of Shamaran. There are eight one-hour episodes of Shahmaran that can be watched on Netflix right now. Those who have already seen every episode will probably wonder where the tv series could go if it gets a second season. What we know about the show’s possible future on the platform is listed below.
What happened in Shahmaran Season 1?
The story follows Shahsu as she takes a train to the city of Adana in the south of Turkey. She is trying to get her Ph.D. and teaches part-time. Shahsu has been asked to give a talk at a college in Adana as a guest speaker. She has been waiting a long time to meet Davut Demir, his grandfather. Davut left her mother, Gul, behind. Gul and Shahsu lived together because both of their husbands had left them later in life.
When Shahsu says that her mother just died, the story goes in a different direction. Shahsu is sure that her father never came back to her because she was adopted and he didn’t know who she was. Davut doesn’t answer or try to explain what he did before. Instead, he stays quiet.
Shahsu shifts in with her grandfather at his house, where she meets a man named Maran who lives nearby. Maran doesn’t seem to be interested in her. Shahsu thinks that a Maran’s dark black robes make them look evil. Cihan, a young coworker who likes her and wants to date her, comes in and chases her. Shahsu is confused and considers she is seeing things because she stopped taking her medications. There is, in fact, a story from long ago about love, betrayal, and a curse.

Shahmaran Season 1 Review
A Persian myth about a man who jumps off a cliff and lives. Then we meet Sahsu, who is Duvat’s granddaughter. She goes to see him to ask him why he left her mother. At the same time, we will witness a family nearby notice Sahsu and confirm that she is the chosen one. We won’t know why she was picked until the end, which is a good way to get people interested.
During the eight episodes, we’ll find out about a lot of unsolved mysteries, but the main focus will be on how much Maran and Sahsu are attracted to each other. Still, Maran knows the whole truth about what’s going on and what will happen. Sahsu, on the other hand, will have no idea about the dangers.
When it comes to things that stood out to me, I have to start with how well the two main characters got along. Their steamy scenes, fights, and caring for each other didn’t make me cringe too much; instead, it felt real (it also had the fantasy theme loaded in). Also, we all know that a couple’s relationship has to be hurt by someone else. I mean, almost every romantic movie or TV show has a love triangle, and this story has one, too.
As for the editing, I really liked it. The locations were great, and the color grading was warm. We get to see the world around us because of international movies, and the Turkish dances and customs in this show made it artistic.
In the same way, the actors did a great job. Since the plot is complicated, the actors had to do a great job with it so that the audience could see how the different genres worked together. They did a great job. The sets that the art design team brought in helped make the whole thing look better.
Shahmaran Season 2 Release Date
Shahmaran Season 2 has not been officially announced yet, so there is no date for when it will come out. If anything new comes out about this, we’ll let you know. It’s not a good idea to expect a premiere date before the series has been confirmed, so we should wait until the creators of the series make an official announcement.
We hope that Netflix likes this show and doesn’t cancel it for a second season as it did with many other good shows. Let’s maintain our fingers crossed for a second season of Shahmaran, and if you haven’t already, watch season 1 if you haven’t.
