Sports drama TV anime ‘Megalo Box’ was created for the 50th anniversary of the classic manga series ‘Ashita no Joe.’ The world of “Megalo Box” is a future Japan where the affluent and poor are increasingly separated by a wealth gap. Megalo boxing, a variant of the traditional sport in which fighters are permitted to wear robotic gear that augments their power, is one of the best forms of entertainment in this culture. Joe, the protagonist, becomes famous in the first season by competing in and ultimately winning the first Megalonia tournament barehanded. At the start of Season 2, he goes on the road and fights in underground ring events under the name “Nomad.”
The first season broadcast from April 6 to June 29, 2018. Season 2 of ‘Megalo Box’ has now concluded. You don’t need to worry about finding out whether or not there is going to be a third season since we’ve got you covered.
Megalobox Season 3 Renewal Status
Neither the manga’s publisher, Kodansha, nor the anime’s studio, TMS Entertainment, have said whether or not there will be a third season. Anime renewals sometimes take a while, so you shouldn’t worry just yet; there’s also no cancellation. TMS Entertainment is a successful company that has the ability to produce multiple anime at once and regularly receives renewal confirmation for multiple anime series.
The new season only gives a handful of anime a chance to shine. This chance was given to the anime series Megalo Box. When deciding whether or not to renew an anime, the decision committee typically takes into account a few significant aspects. Having access to manga sources, how well received it is, and how many discs it sells are three of the most crucial factors. Since no official information is available at this time, we made assumptions about the anime’s upcoming third season.
Megalobox Season 3 Release Date
Beginning on April 6, 2018, the inaugural season of Megalobox ran through June 29, 2018. There were 13 total episodes. The second season premiered on April 4, 2021, and ran until June 27 of that year. There were 13 total episodes.
Many viewers would love to see a third season of the anime, but it seems unlikely to happen at this point. Since no formal announcements have been made as of yet, fans are encouraged to maintain optimism. The earliest we could see fresh episodes of the show would be in 2023 or 2024 if a third season was ordered.
Megalobox Storyline
In this series, the protagonist, Joe, competes under the alias “Junk Dog” at underground fight clubs. When he almost collides with Shirato Company CEO Yukiko Shirato one day, he gets the cold shoulder from her security Yuri. Yukiko intervenes when Junk Dog attempts to provoke a fight between herself and Yuri.
The next day, Junk Dog is scheduled to face another opponent, but Yuri interrupts the bout and challenges him to a fight. Megaloboxing champion Yuri easily defeats Junk Dog and challenges him to a match in the upcoming “Megalonia” tournament. Junk Dog had to be number one in the official Megalobox rankings and have a valid Megalonian citizenship ID in order to face Yuri in Megalonia.
