The Japanese comedic anime TV series Hinamatsuri is adapted from the manga of the same name. The manga, created by Masao Take and illustrated by Takeshi, first appeared in serial form in a magazine titled Harta on June 15, 2010; to this day, new chapters continue to appear in the magazine. Studio Feel, a renowned Japanese animation studio, has stated that they will adapt the manga series into an anime television show, nearly ten years after the serialization of the book began. Kei Oikawa takes over directing duties from Keichir chi, who had written the script. The music was provided by Nippon Columbia, and Rie Murakawa sang “Distance” for the opening theme while Yoshiki Nakajima sang “Sake to Ikura to 893 to Musume” for the closing.
Fans of the manga and newcomers to the show agreed that the April 6, 2018 premiere of Season 1 of Hinamatsuri was a huge success. Since then, viewers have been hoping for Season 2 confirmation; here’s everything that we know regarding the show’s future in that regard.
Hinamatsuri Storyline
Nitta Yoshifumi is a member of the yakuza who has a passion for porcelain vases. He was having a nice evening in his penthouse apartment when something heavy and metallic crashed down on top of him. Nitta tries to disregard the human face on the metal box, but she is unable to do so. The following morning, the face on the box instructs her to free herself by pulling on the box’s handle. Nitta let a young lady between the ages of 11 and 12 named Hina out of a metal box. Nitta quickly comes to the conclusion that the female he is accompanying possesses telekinetic abilities. How many volumes are in Hinamatsuri
The most current volume was announced only last year, bringing the total to 19. Although there have been delays at times, writer and illustrator Masao Take has been publishing the manga series twice yearly.
About 47 of the manga’s chapters were used in the first season, but many key plot points were left out. These 47 chapters only took up nine volumes, and even with certain chapters skipped, the first season still managed to deliver 12 episodes. Even if the studio opts not to include some chapters, there is still enough material in the manga for more than 12 episodes of the second season of Hinamatsuri.

Where to watch Hinamatsuri Season 2?

Hinamatsuri Popularity
The Hinamatsuri series ranked 409th on MyAnimeList depending on its popularity. For an anime released in 2018, this rating is good but not great. However, new anime seasons benefit greatly from Blu-ray disc sales. Since a large portion of an anime’s budget comes from the sale of DVDs, it’s a good sign if the series sells more than four thousand copies. When times are tough, the production committee often decides that this venture is not profitable enough to continue.
Hinamatsuri sold 1,024 units in its first volume. The sales volume is well below 4,000, so it does not give much hope for the second season. But there are always unexpected developments. Besides, 2018 was a dismal year in the anime business in regard to disc sales, and just a few series could achieve this statistic.
