The star of Years and Years recently told What’s on TV, “I’m hoping something is on the cards for Flesh and Blood next year, but there’s nothing official.” Whether or not the rest of the cast returns for a second season, he added, is an important factor. Availability is key. It’s a bit of an issue that Imelda [Staunton] plays the Queen in The Crown. But I’d love to help out even more!
Flesh And Blood Season 2 Release Date
On February 24, 2020, ITV aired the first episode of the new season of the show. The renewal of the show for a second season has not been announced. The first season portrayed a grieving Vivien whose adult children, Helen, Jake, and Natalie, and her overprotective neighbor, Mary, were worried when a recently-retired expert named Mark came into her life and profoundly inspired her. After some investigation, we learned that Mark had been accidentally but perhaps purposefully pushed over the family gallery by Vivien’s children, and that he was in critical condition and unlikely to regain consciousness when Mary, fearing for the children, attempted to choke him out.
Mark awoke, and the next season will likely deal with the fallout of his awakening, including telling the police and Vivien how her children and beloved neighbor treated him.

Flesh And Blood Season 2 Plot
In ‘Flesh and Blood,’ we meet Vivien, a gorgeous widow who falls in love with Mark, a retired surgeon. Mark is only with Vivien for the money, according to her three adult children Helen, Jake, and Natalie, and her overprotective neighbor Mary. The focus of the narrative shifts to an unnamed victim shortly thereafter. All the family members are interrogated one by one in flashbacks and in the present day.
Mark turns out to be the victim after all. He’s in a coma now and won’t be coming out of it any time soon. What’s the catch? Mary tried to suffocate him after her sister Vivien’s children had pushed him from the balcony. In the final scene, Mark finally opens his eyes. The second season is set to examine the fallout from Mark telling Vivien and the police about his experience.
