Dead Still Season 2 Plot

The protagonist of ‘Dead Still’ is Dublin native and renowned memorial photographer Brock Blennerhasset of the 1880s. Conall Molloy, a former gravedigger, is his eager new helper, and together they make a fortune by photographing the deceased. Nancy, Brock’s astute niece, is also a key member of the group.

Daguerreotypes (photographs taken with an iodine-sensitized silver plate) can be traced back to Brock, a pioneer in the field. But modern trends have put a damper on his professional prospects. Due to technological advancements and the decreasing cost of cameras, memorial portraiture is becoming increasingly obsolete. While Brock works through his problems, his life takes an unexpected turn when a series of gruesome killings threatens to destroy his reputation and career. An unusual form of memorial symbolism has been initiated by a serial killer. He photographs people as they are dying.

At the same time, Detective Frederick Regan pulls the three of them into an inquiry that leads them to the seedy underbelly of Dublin’s cityscape. The crew is racing against the clock to find this murderer and stop the widespread black market for stolen images. If not, Brock might lose his job or even end up in the same position as one of his subjects.

The loss of Henry has disturbed Brock more than any of his other phobias. He fires Nancy to protect her, but she’s horrified and vows revenge on anyone who killed Henry. We really hope that they are able to reconcile in season two. The Hellfire Club adds another layer of mystery to the mix. Regan and Brock could link up to solve more grisly murders as the story progresses. Well, if a second season does get made, the drama has plenty of options. As more information becomes available, we will add it here.
