For decades, immigration has been one of the most contentious political issues in the United States. CBS’s gripping criminal thriller on Paramount+, “Coyote,” may do a better job of depicting the subject’s complexity than any other TV show.
Michael Chiklis, a veteran of several police dramas, plays former Border Patrol agent Ben Clemens in “Coyote.” Clemens has taken a job with a Mexican drug gang as a coyote, or a person who smuggles people through the border. In Season 1, Ben did some things that he would have never done before. Despite the fact that he had basically switched positions by working for a drug cartel, his new comrades still did not put all of their trust in him. As of January 7, 2021, all six episodes of “Coyote”‘s first season have been broadcast, leaving viewers to wonder if they would be able to catch up on Ben’s antics in a second season.
Coyote Season 2 Renewal Status
Coyote was in a difficult position even before the premiere of the pilot episode. The team has not publicly addressed the change in broadcasting partners. For the team, though, this was already a major problem. Furthermore, the official squad never talked about it. Fans have no idea if the creators are even thinking about making a sequel.
However, specific considerations are made while discussing renewal. The drama’s fate hangs in the balance of how well it is received and how many people tune in. The group also discusses the topic’s level of fame. When the drama finally made it to Coyote, it was well received. However, the show was so well received that CBS All Access is already planning a sequel. The season finale’s cliffhanger also gave Season 2 plenty of material to work with. There has been no word yet on when Season 2 of Coyote will premiere. The drama has yet to gain the go-ahead for the anticipated sequels, so its future remains unclear.
Coyote Season 2 Release Date
We’re still waiting to hear whether or not Paramount will renew the exciting TV drama for a second season. The six episodes of the show aired on January 7, 2021, and the show’s devoted viewers are already wondering if they will get another chance to follow Ben’s adventures. On March 3, 2021, Michael Chiklis tweeted that he “cannot wait until I am back to shooting for the second season.” Almost a year later, however, we still have no word on whether or not the program will be renewed for a second season. Although his statement does not definitively answer the question of whether or not the program would return for a second season, it also does not rule out the potential that it will. If the show gets another season this year, we can look forward to fresh episodes in 2024.
Coyote Storyline
Ben Clemens, a former agent for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, has recently retired. After 32 years with CBP, he was finally going to help the people he had kept away from borders so forcibly and unwillingly. Since he is also involved in a criminal enterprise, he was always on the opposing side of the wall. Both his physical presence and his soon-to-be-questioned morality and ethics are disruptive to the status quo. He is a good officer who participated in numerous missions, but he was never let in on the inside scoop. The society’s blacks and whites presented themselves to him.
He betrays the trust placed in him by failing to uphold his promise of honesty. Now he must deal with an unexpected challenge. When he realizes that Maria Elena has a tattoo just like one of his kids, he is very touched. To save his daughter Maria Elena from being raped by members of a local gang, Maria Elena’s father has decided to take his own life. After receiving a call in which he observes one of the henchmen in his sleeping daughter’s bed, Ben decides to work for drug and human trafficking leader Juan Pablo Raba out of fear.
The characters embark on a journey, during which they mature in response to the brutality of the Mexican and American criminals they encounter. Meanwhile, Ben experiences his own emotional development. Their histories are revealed in flashbacks, which adds unexpected turns to the story. The story’s intriguing arc is the result of a variety of plots and subplots. Michelle McLaren did an incredible job establishing the stage for the show in the first two episodes. Characters can be seen as either completely black or white, or perhaps something in between.

Coyote Season 2 Plotline
In the premiere, former Border Patrol agent Ben Clemens found himself working with the very individuals he had spent his career keeping out of the nation. He did everything in his power as an agent to drive them out of the country. Ben, interestingly enough, engaged in some questionable behavior. His morality and ethics were called into doubt, yet he maintained a reputation as an honest officer. He betrayed his oath of honesty and embarked on an unthinkable course while serving his country.
Ben was later taken aback when he saw that Maria Elena had a tattoo that looked strikingly similar to one his daughter had. In addition, Maria’s dad was concerned that she was in danger from a gang in the area. The group had come to Maria’s house with the explicit goal to gang-rape and otherwise assault her. Her father made the ultimate sacrifice to end the argument and ensure his daughter’s safety. In addition to this, Ben Clemens started doing work for a mob boss. He eventually found himself embroiled in the interconnected webs of drug and people trafficking.
There are still many mysteries surrounding the coyote. So, the cliffhangers from the first season will be resolved in the second. The story can also delve into Ben’s background and professional history.
