The exciting fourth season of Bungou Stray Dogs has grown into the best one so far since it delivers everything viewers have been hoping for. It featured numerous spectacular battles, unforgettable events, and, of course, loads of fan service for Dazai enthusiasts. Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 is all we can think about now that The Armed Detective Agency is still on the run and the entire tale isn’t finished.
Shockingly, the anime’s official website stated shortly after the broadcasting of the last episode that Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 is in the works. The fact that the anime is coming back far sooner than anybody could have thought, like this year, is even more mind-boggling than the fact that we only had to wait four years for a new season the last time.
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Release Date
In anticipation of its July 12 premiere, the anime Bungo Stray Dogs has announced that Season 5 will consist of 11 episodes. A listing for its Disney+ release in Japan (spotted by @AIR_News01 on Twitter) reveals that Season 5 of Bungo Stray Dogs will have eight episodes, two fewer than the Season 4 run from earlier this year. This makes a lot of sense, as it means that two batches of episodes will be released in the same year, rather than two years apart like in Seasons 3 and 4.
Bungo Stray Dogs Storyline
Bungou Stray Dog is an anime mystery series revolving around a supernatural detective agency. After being expelled from the orphanage, Atsushi Nakajima has nowhere to turn. He rescued a man who is part of the special detective agency while standing alone on the riverbank. Cases that the police and the military are unable to handle are taken on by this organization.
Together, they will investigate a case that will eventually make Atsushi a full-fledged investigator for the firm. How difficult will it be for him to improve his standing at the agency and in the public eye? What will happen, the future will tell.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Plot
Fans may rest easy knowing that Season 5 will pick up right where Season 4 left off. Trailers, the manga, and the first season provide enough context to piece together the scenario despite the lack of an official synopsis. What happens after the investigators are unable to establish their innocence of the fearsome Hunting Dogs is the focus of this season. Even though it hasn’t been announced, Season 5 will probably focus on the characters trying to get back together after being split up in Season 4.
Fans may see the Armed Detective Agency reuniting, but it could all be a ruse since each detective still has their own missions to do. Season previews have hinted at a life-or-death battle between Dazai and Fyodor, and the final member of Decay of the Angel is set to make his long-awaited debut in the anime adaptation. As the story arc nears its conclusion and the characters are tested to their limits, Season 5 of Bungo Stray Dogs is shaping up to become the most action-packed season of the series thus far.
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Production Studio
Studio Bones will resume production on Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 despite having just announced that they are now hard at work on My Hero Academia: Season 7.
The studio isn’t slowing down, which would ordinarily raise red flags about the product’s quality, but Bones has never let anyone down. This early access to Bungou Stray Dogs: Season 5 is too fantastic to pass up, despite our hopes that Deku’s showdown with All For One will be given cinematic treatment.
