In September of 2021, Starz debuted the crime drama series Black Mafia Family (BMF). The show is inspired by the real-life rise of Demetrius “Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory from the mean streets of Detroit to the top of the American criminal underworld. The first two seasons of BMF were extremely well-received by both critics and viewers.
BMF Season 3
In light of the show’s success, Starz’s president of original programming, Kathryn Busby, said, “Following such a strong debut with season two, we’re thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules.” The statement is indicative of the show’s success in maintaining interest as it follows the emergence of the eponymous criminal organization.
The conclusion of BMF Season 2 left viewers expecting the continuation of the narrative of the Flenory brothers. The next third season will go even further into the characters and their relationships as they continue to examine the emergence and fall of the BMF. There will be more explosive action and drama for fans to enjoy.
BMF Season 3 Renewal Status
On January 18, 2023, just five days after the second episode of season 2 was broadcast on television, Starz renewed BMF for a third season. Starz’s original programming president Kathryn Busby said, “Following such a strong debut with season two, we’re thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules” after the premiere of season 2 attracted 4.1 million viewers. 50 Cent has been cast in The Expendables 4, and he is also working on a number of other projects. On the other hand, he very well may come back as an executive producer.
BMF Season 3 Release Date
New episodes of BMF Season 3 are expected to premiere in early to mid-2024, while the exact release date has yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, Starz is streaming the first two seasons of Black Mafia Family for fans to catch up. BMF is a must-see for anyone interested in crime dramas or true crime stories due to its compelling plot, excellent acting, and meticulous attention to detail.

BMF Season 3 Expected Plot
He was Kanan, a violent thug, in the previous season of the 50 Cent Starz series Power. However, Kanan’s criminal upbringing was explained in the prequel. Unlike the Power series, BMF gives Cent a true story to tell. In season 2, the gangster hardly touched on his or her adult life. With Meech and Terry expected to enter guilty pleas in 2007, there are still plenty of questions to be answered. There is still plenty more to cover, as BMF has only covered the 1980s so far.
Season 3 of BMF can pick up right where season 2 left off with Meech and Terry’s triumphant antics. With Detective Bryant out of the picture, the brothers can take a break from the force for a while. Throughout season 2, they put in a lot of effort to establish BMF as a legitimate criminal enterprise, and it looks like their efforts have paid off. Since B-Mickie is no longer a part of the Black Mafia Family, it is likely that new members will be introduced in BMF Season 3.
