Benefits of Regular Exercise
-Increased energy levels
-A clearer, healthier complexion
-Improved cardiovascular health
-Mental stimulation
-Improved sleep
-Decreased stress levels
-Increased sex drive It is well known that exercise benefits us in so many ways, but did you know it also can help with your skin? Exercise may play a part in preventing acne because the same hormones involved in causing acne are released when you work out. If you find yourself breaking out more after working out, focus on eating healthier and finding the right moisturizer for your face. I have a combination/oily skin type.
So I have to take enough care of my skin especially before going to bed because at night our body’s detoxifying process goes up which helps in keeping our faces clean & clear. During the summer season, it’s difficult for me to do this routine because I prefer long hours of sleep.
Now I am in the US far away from my family & friends, it’s difficult for me to find time for this routine but when I focus on something then only I can do it successfully. I’m proud that at my age I have good skin which is glowing too if you notice my pictures closely.
1- First of all your face must be completely clean, make sure you remove all the makeup before going to bed ie lip gloss/lipsticks, foundation, moisturizer, etc. Soap or cleanser leaves residues behind and will not let the moisturizers absorb the skin properly. Not using these products may clog pores & cause acne.
So it’s always better to use makeup remover lotion or oil followed by a cleanser. I usually wash my face with Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser & then use Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to remove the final traces of makeup, dirt & grime. 2- Once you are finished cleaning your face it’s time for scrubbing.
As you all know exfoliation is a very important part of a skincare routine to make your skin clean & clear which will impart a more even tone and texture to the skin.
Exfoliation removes built-up dead skin cells, unclogs pores of dirt & oil. This is the first step to treat acne & cystic acne. You can use homemade scrubs or store-bought scrub which has natural ingredients which will nourish your skin very well.
-Wet face with water and apply a small amount of scrub all over the face avoiding the eye area.-Gently massage in circular motion mostly focusing on nose, cheeks & chin for 1-2 minutes.-Wash it off with cold water.-Avoid this process if you have dry sensitive skin or very little time then don’t do it more than
2 days weekly. Don’t ever rub hard because it might cause and harm your skin.
3- Moisturizers play an important role in keeping the skin hydrated & plump because nothing looks worse than dry flaky skin. It also helps to reduce acne scars, wrinkles & fine lines.
-After washing your face apply a good moisturizer that has SPF because it’s always better to protect your skin from harmful sun rays.
I use Garnier Roll-on Matte Oil-Free which is best for combination/oily skin types. Apart from it I also use Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Cream with Retinol for the nighttime because this cream not only moisturizes my skin but it makes my skin smoother & softer in one single step, so it’s very convenient to apply twice a day.
4- Once you are finished with your face wash & moisturizer then follow up with sunscreen every morning after cleaning your face or if you won’t go out then put on sunscreen before going to bed at night. Sunscreen protects the skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays which can cause premature aging signs like wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation, etc.
I use Garnier Ultra-Light sunscreen for my everyday morning skincare routine & Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock with SPF 55 for going out in the sun.
5- Makeup plays an important role in enhancing your natural beauty, so it’s always better to find out which type of products suit you best ie powder or liquid foundation. Always be careful while applying makeup even if you are at home because it can clog pores & cause acne.
I use Maybelline Fit Me Foundation -Medium 120 which is lightweight, oil-free, non-comedogenic, and has a pretty matte finish to avoid shininess which makes me look oily after a few hours. So my skin feels very soft, smooth & hydrated even on harsh winter days.
6- Last but not least is sunscreen.
So it’s very important to protect your skin on every step of daily life because nothing looks worse than cracked or dull dry skin.
So these were some easy steps to keep your skin soft, smooth & hydrated without any side effects which you might have seen at other sites that they are just telling how to get rid of acne & not how to avoid it with a proper skincare routine which I hope you all enjoyed reading.
I have very sensitive skin so I always advise people that this is just a way of cleansing your face but if you have very sensitive skin then consult your dermatologist before trying any new routine on your own because a sheet mask can cause irritations or redness!
Benefits of exercise for students:
1) It increases the concentration level of students.
2)It reduces stress and provides more energy.
3) Reduces anxiety level and improves the mood of the student.
4) It promotes better sleep especially for adolescents and young adults. Sleep is very important for good health.
5) Helps to improve academic performance in students(for example studying, note-taking). There are many studies that have shown that exercise before studying or taking a test stimulates your brain cells to function at their best capacity thus leading you to perform well in tests or exams. Exercise also makes you feel good about yourself. when you feel good about yourself you tend to perform better in all kinds of tasks including school work.
6) Improves physical appearance by reducing weight or getting rid of excess fats. Exercising also makes your skin glow, gives you a good hair day, and strengthens your body especially the heart.
7) Increases concentration levels for students with ADHD(attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
8) It reduces aggression in adolescents. Physical activity is an important part of preventing or reducing depression. Exercise releases endorphins which act as natural antidepressants to us.
As a result, a person exercising on a regular basis tends to be happier and less depressed compared to those who do not exercise at all. Hence it also reduces arguments with friends/classmates about participating in class activities among others due to laziness and lack of energy because he/she is always depressed.
9) Increases athletic performance for all kinds of sports. Certain exercises or equipment can be used to improve a particular sport a person plays(ie: swimming requires a lot of strength in the arms and legs, running requires a great deal of stamina). In simple terms, it makes you better at what you do especially if you are an athlete or play competitive sports.
10) Prevents diseases such as heart diseases, diabetes mellitus, arthritis, stroke, etc… The list goes on and on so please go ahead and google the benefits of exercise for more information about these very important points that I have just mentioned above.
Physical exercise:
The general definition of physical exercise is “physical activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness”.
Exercise is a behavior involving a degree of muscle tension, rhythmic contraction(repeated), and slow movement, with a larger number of repeats in a certain period.
Aerobic Exercise: It uses large muscle groups at a continuous pace without stopping which will result in an increased heart rate for significant periods of time. This type of exercise can be used as long as you want, unlike short burst exercises which only last from 10 seconds to 2 minutes depending on how to fit you are.
Resistance Training:
This type of exercise makes you stronger, faster, and fitter. It is an important component that should be included in every fitness program. It helps to maintain muscle mass(especially for elderly people) so that they can avoid muscle loss during their older years.
Flexibility Exercise:
It refers to the stretching exercises that help in improving your range of motion which has a lot of benefits such as a better range of motion for work, less chance of injury when playing sports/working out, and increases blood flow to joints thus keeping them healthy and lubricated.
Cardiovascular exercise:
Also known as aerobic exercise or endurance training. This involves increasing the heart rate which results in increased oxygenation to the muscles, lungs, and heart. The three general principles used in all aerobic activities are:
1-Increasing your heart rate to at least 50%-85% of your maximum heart rate (HR max)
2-Keeping your intensity level(exercise) between these two numbers
3-Performing this for a certain period of time or number of repeats.
There are many ways to do cardiovascular exercises which include jogging/running, speed walking, cycling, dancing, swimming, etc…
is an important factor that impacts our health and wellness. it affects the way we look, feel, act communicate with each other so it is very important that is something we should never ignore. it also affects our behavior at school or work. Many people use words like “exercise” & “physical activity” interchangeably, however, there is a difference between the two.
Exercise is a type of physical activity that has planned, structured and repetitive movements which are done to improve or maintain one’s health, fitness, and overall well-being. Although exercise means different things to different people, it often involves dynamic stretches (movements that use many joints in succession), varying your speeds, levels of resistance, and rest periods between intervals.
