Patty Bladell (Debby Ryan), the protagonist of the drama-comedy ‘Insatiable’ on Netflix, is a chubby high school student who is often made fun of for her size. After a traumatic event serves as the final straw, she goes on an all-liquid diet and emerges from her recovery thin and assured. She gets even with the people who tormented her when she was overweight. When the series premiered in 2018, viewers had conflicting reactions.
There was a lot of pushback from viewers due to the show’s questionable narrative choices around weight and body image. Not shortly after, a petition advocating for the cancellation of the series went viral and has now gained as many as 230K signatures. Nevertheless, the second season premiered last year despite the controversy surrounding it. As the second season of ‘Insatiable’ ended on a massive cliffhanger, viewers naturally want to know if the show will continue to leave plot threads hanging in season 3, or if they will be resolved. What is it?
Insatiable Season 3 Renewal Status
The Netflix comedy-drama Insatiable was just canceled. Insatiable premiered in August 2018 and returns for its second season in October 2019, starring Debby Ryan as a once overweight adolescent who becomes slim after an accident causes her mouth to be wired shut.
Actress Alyssa Milano confirmed the termination of Insatiable on social media, adding the low viewer numbers undoubtedly played a role in Netflix’s decision not to order a third season. After the trailer for the first season of Insatiable was released, many people were outraged by what they saw as the show’s fat-shaming premise. Nearly a quarter of a million people signed a petition demanding that the show be canceled. The issue may have increased the show’s exposure, but season 2 of Insatiable failed to sustain the audience’s attention.

After murdering Pageant, though, she said that she had never had a sensation like that of murder. Even though she was telling the truth, maybe this is the beginning of her healing and reevaluation of her morals.

Is Insatiable worth watching?
Insatiable’s first two seasons failed to impress viewers. Therefore, it is hard to say whether or not the third season would have been successful in attracting viewers. We’ve previously established that neither the critics nor the viewers were very fond of Insatiable’s two seasons. In spite of the show’s termination, the first two seasons are still available for anyone interested.
