Marco Polo Season 3: Will There Be Another Season?

Marco Polo is unparalleled in the genre of historical drama. Netflix premiered Marco Polo five years ago, and ever since then, viewers have anxiously awaited news of a third season. The program takes viewers back to Marco Polo’s formative years in Kublai Khan’s court and reveals how he became so popular.

Fans have been holding out hope that their beloved show may make a surprise comeback. The third season of Marco Polo is coming to Netflix, and fans have shared their anticipation and high hopes on Reddit. Despite everyone’s high hopes for the show, the season finale has been met with widespread pessimism among fans and spectators. Where does the program go from here? Learn more by reading on!

Marco Polo Season 3 Renewal Status

After the second season, Netflix made the unfortunate decision not to renew the show. The second season had likewise failed to meet the standards set by the streaming giant prior to this decision. The viewer and critical reception for both episodes of this program were lukewarm at best. The Hollywood Reporter claims that across both seasons, Netflix lost $200 million.

As a consequence, both Netflix and The Weinstein Company agreed to pull the plug on the third season of Marco Polo. After the news broke, however, many viewers voiced their desire to see the show return for a second season. They also submitted several requests. The budget for this historical drama seems to have been exhausted, and the producers have no plans to continue funding it. As a result, viewers need to come to terms with the fact that their beloved show will not be back for a second season.

Marco Polo Season 2 Ratings and Reviews

I can promise you if you have never watched the series before and are wondering about its quality, that it is really nice! The program has received generally positive reviews, earning an 8/10 rating on IMDb and a 66% rating from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes. So, yes, I will be tuning into this series. Look at what other people thought of it after you saw it if you still aren’t convinced to go.

Even though Netflix has a ton of great shows, this one is unusual because of how popular Netflix generally is. The selection of Marco Polo is somewhat limited. That’s why it’s so surprising that there’s a whole TV show about him.

Because of its uniqueness, rarity, and brilliant storytelling, “Marco Polo” is widely regarded as one of Netflix’s best series, despite the fact that its protagonist is based on a famous historical character. The story follows a young Venetian trader as he makes his way to Mongolia and ultimately joins Kublai Khan’s inner circle of advisers. He faces danger from enemies, hostility from others, and even members of his own family, all while being blissfully oblivious that history would remember him as a great character.

The actors, actresses, musicians, composers, and directors should all get credit for their work on the series. All three of these guys (Remi Hii, Benedict Wong, and Lorenzo Richelmy) have been indispensable to the squad. The best moments were when Marco interacted with Kublai or Prince Jingim. When two characters confront each other head-on, the stakes are higher. The series was great, but it ended on a cliffhanger that no one was happy with and that brought up a lot of questions. It would have seemed perfect if Netflix had dropped a concluding third season to wrap up the story and the show.
