Based on Yaongyi’s Line Webtoon of the same name, “True Beauty” (formerly named “Yeosin-gangnim”) is a South Korean romantic comedy television series. Lim Ju-kyung is a high school student who has been the target of bullying and ridicule because of her looks from both her classmates and her family. Just before moving to a new school, she masters the technique of applying cosmetics, catapulting her to fame and popularity. But her greatest worry is that others would judge her based on how she looks.
The sitcom, which was created by Lee Shi-Eun and Yaongyi, debuted in December 2020 on Rakuten Viki and tvN in South Korea. Since its inception, the show’s ratings have been continuously high. Since the program is so successful at representing romantic comedies, it stands to reason that there is a large audience eager to see how the plot develops. True Beauty Season 1 Recap
Lim Ju-Kyung suffers from bullying at school. Her punishment seemed to be constant trips to the vending machine. Due to the chaos, she was forced to watch cosmetics tutorials on YouTube. The following day, she wore makeup to school, but her application was so sloppy that she was the target of widespread ridicule. She broke down in tears and ran away from school because she was so upset. Everyone at her new school thought she was cute once she started wearing cosmetics. Because of this, she always kept a stash of cosmetics and her passport in a separate bag. All of her classmates and the faculty at her school doted on her because of her stunning beauty.
In the end, Lee Su-Ho and her bare face discover the truth. Lim Ju-Kyung asked him to keep this information to himself, and he complied. At the same time, Han Seo-Jun becomes involved. A minor car accident is where he and Lim Ju-Kyung first cross paths. Lee Su-ho and Han Seo-Jun both have sad backstories. Jung Se-Yeon, a friend of theirs who was killed by school bullies, was an avid music fan.
These three guys used to be inseparable, but Se-Yeon’s death drove a wedge between them. Both Lee Su-Ho and Han Seo-Jun eventually developed romantic feelings for Lim Ju-Kyung. But eventually, she developed feelings for Lee Su-ho and the two began dating.

True Beauty Season 2 Expected Plot
A significant amount of time was skipped in the last season. Two years have passed since Ju-Kyung and Su-ho split up, and she has now graduated along with her pals. On the other side, Seo-jun is getting ready to make his debut as a musician, while Ju-Kyung is excited about a future in the cosmetics industry. When Seon-jun first told Ju-Kyung about his affection for her, she rejected him. He had come to terms with the realization that he would never achieve his goal. Finally, after almost two years away, Su-ho returned from Japan. He and Ju-Kyung got back together. Su-ho ends up providing some assistance to Seo-jun. He gives him Se-Yeon’s finished song to use for his first big show.
The series is expected to pick off just where it left off. It seems like the high school romance is maturing into something more substantial. It’s possible that our primary characters may go through a great deal of change. In particular, since they are no longer children and no longer attend school. They may not have much time for socializing anyhow, what with all the work they have to do. Relationships may become strained as a result. Also, do you think they’ll all make it professionally? Is Seo-jun over his affection for Ju-Kyung for good? Or maybe Ju-Kyung will develop feelings for Seo-jun. The second season of True Beauty might provide answers to all of these problems.
