Queenmaker Season 2 Expected Plot
The conclusion of Season 1 gives us reason to be optimistic about this situation. Do-hee is left to face the fallout of her unlawful tactics after she has done her part to help Kyung-sook’s mayoral campaign succeed. These tactics were used on purpose to shake up the status quo at Eunsung Group. Kyung-sook’s success was undoubtedly the result of her own initiative and determination.
As she watches everything unfold, another political figure approaches her with the promise of a similarly happy ending. The incident gives viewers hope that Do-hee (Kim Hee-ae) will return to political action, but it can also be read as an open ending designed to highlight her tenacity and determination to succeed in the political arena.
Returning to Hot Stove League, the final scene depicting Hee-ae being presented with a fresh chance shares a similar flavor with the conclusion of the K-drama featuring Namkoong Min’s character, which also showed the protagonist charging headlong into the future to take on new challenges. There has been no official word about a new season, so this isn’t conclusive evidence that one is imminent.
