How To Remove Cracks in The Feet
The issue of cracked feet is not only unsightly but can be very painful to walk on. The skin becomes dry and itchy due to the fact that cracks in the skin allow bacteria to enter (which cause infection) and allow moisture to escape (creating discomfort).
Cracked, dry feet are usually caused by dehydration, tight shoes, or poor foot hygiene. That’s why the first thing you should do to remove cracks in your feet is applied moisturizing cream on them.
If that doesn’t work, then there are other natural treatments that can be done at home to help remove the cracks in your feet:
Baking soda:
Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste. Apply the mixture to your feet, leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Honey:
Apply a thin layer of honey on the cracked skin and cover this layer with a cotton sock overnight or during daily activities. Honey provides moisture to the skin cells and speeds up the healing process because its antimicrobial properties start to work.
Lemon juice:
For cracked feet, mix the juice of half a lemon with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and then apply this mixture on your feet before going to sleep. You can also add 1 tablespoon of almond oil to the mixture. This will provide moisture that eliminates cracks in the skin.
