Hajime Isayama created the manga series Attack on Titan, which is set in Japan. In September 2009, the series premiered in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shnen Magazine, and as of April 2019, it has been collected into 28 tankbon volumes. It takes place on a planet where humans have built fortress-like cities to protect themselves from the monstrous Titans. After a Titan destroys Eren Yeager’s homeland, he resolves to avenge his people and conquer the Earth.
An anime adaptation, helmed by Tetsur Araki and created by Wit Studio, will air on MBS TV from 2013 until 2020. Attack on Titan, a live-action film adaption, premiered in Japan in 2015. The second season of the anime premiered in the months of April and June of 2017, and the third premiered in the months of July and October of 2018. After the events of the fourth season, many viewers expected Season 5 of Attack on Titan to deliver on the promise of more action. Unfortunately, it appears the coin did not land in their favor.
Attack on Titan Season 5 Renewal Status
The much-awaited anime won’t air until the sixth season, sadly. The official Twitter for Attack on Titan has confirmed that an anime adaptation is in the works. But not for the start of a new season. The fourth and final season has not yet premiered in its entirety. The official Twitter account just made the announcement, translating a tweet as follows: “TV Anime ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season Final Edition Broadcast in 2023 on NHK General TV! The video of the announcement has been uploaded.
Attack on Titan Season 5 Release Date
It was previously believed that the Attack on Titan series will conclude with a film, but this is clearly not the case. The conclusion of Season 4 will premiere on NHK General TV in 2023, according to a tweet. After that, we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled programming.
As of this writing, there have been 28 episodes in the fourth season of Attack on Titan. The second half of the anime is said to conclude in ten episodes or less. Season 5 of Attack on Titan is not worth your high expectations. This, however, is contingent upon the amount of material shown in the remaining episodes. However, there will be no further episodes of this show as it has ended.
MAPPA is working hard to make sure the final episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 is worth the wait for fans. According to a tweet from an anonymous source, the third season will premiere in 2023, with four new episodes appearing on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu every week, each running for an hour.
