Space missions, alien races, and fights between humans are common plot device that has never got old and wants to keep the audience as interested as possible. More than anything else, alien invasions give people a rush of adrenaline. Such movies let us use our imaginations and make us think about the possibility of life outside of Earth. We think about how we can’t be the only intelligent life in the 92 billion light-year-wide universes that we can see.
Another Life on Netflix is one of these shows that put us face-to-face with a species that is very far ahead of us. Two seasons of the show are already on the platform and can be streamed, so fans have been going to talk about whether or not Another Life Season 3 will come out.
Another Life Season 3 Renewal Status
In February 2022, Netflix made it official that seasons three of Another Life was over. The actress Katee Sackhoff shared the news on Twitter, so we know it’s true. “I’d like to thank everyone who watched Another Life on Netflix and helped it out. Thank you to everyone on our crew and in our cast for always working so hard and being ready “she typed. “I wish we could make more seasons, but it’s not going to happen. Sad to say, this isn’t a big shock. When the first season came out in 2019, critics didn’t like it much, but a lot of people watched it anyway, so the show kept going. But the break between seasons (which was mostly caused by coronavirus) made the second season even harder to make. It took almost two years for the next episodes to come out. When you consider that sci-fi shows often need a huge budget for cool special effects and set design, it seemed almost inevitable that fans wouldn’t support season two as much as they did the first time. When it comes to Netflix originals, the streaming service usually decides what episodes will come next after a month has passed.
Another Life Season 2 Recap

Another Life Season 3 Plot
Since season 3 has been canceled, we don’t know anything about its plot. But if by some miracle it gets a second season, we anticipate it to pick up where the last one ended. In the second season, Niko’s crew found out that the Achaians were made by aliens and were not real. So, the team uses a computer virus to carry the artifact down. The team was able to beat the Achaians. The Earth and many other planets are set free by Niko and his team. It’s a perfect ending, and at least the final season ended in a good way.
If the show ever comes back, Niko and his crew might confront new problems as they go to new worlds if it does. The real Achaians, who are the squad’s main enemy, could also show up and ruin their plans. That could still be an interesting storyline for season 3.
Another Life Season Ratings
Critics never liked Another Life. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a 6% “rotten” rating. Even though it was said to be full of tropes and often not very good, the series attracted viewers, likely in part because Sackhoff was in it. But even though people liked the show, audiences only gave it a 69% Fresh rating. Still, fans can be loud when a show they like gets canceled, and many have already responded to Sackhoff’s tweet with sadness and support. Sackhoff is also familiar with the science fiction fandom since she played Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica and Bo-Katan on The Mandalorian.
Given how poorly the show has been received, it seems unlikely that Another Life will get a third season anywhere else. But Sackhoff shouldn’t have any trouble getting over it and could easily come back for Season 3 of The Mandalorian. What’s next for Sackhoff? She might be in The Last Transport, another science fiction shows about a doomed Earth. With the end of Another Life, it joins many other shows with a long history that will live alongside its fans.
