Collider reports that the movie "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness", the sequel to "Doctor Strange" scheduled for Phase Four of Marvel Studios, adds a new screenwriter to his team that was already Scott Derrickson, who co-wrote and directed the first installment.
The writer Jade Bartlett (“Good Universe”, “Miller’s Girl”) will work on the script, although for the moment Marvel has not revealed exactly what its credits will be in the film, whether at the level of the script or also of history, or if the writing will be solely his responsibility or in conjunction with Derrickson.
It should be noted that Collider has also had the opportunity to speak with actor Benedict Wong and he has once again confirmed that he will return as Wong for this sequel.
I tweeted Scott to confirm if I am in this. And he said yes, I am. So, it's good to know. We'll see what happens.
Filming is expected to start next spring at Pinewood Studios UK and the cast is currently composed of Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, and there are rumors that Rachel McAdams could return as well.
As the title suggests, the film is expected to explore the Multiverse and have confirmed that the events of "WandaVision" They will lead directly to what we see in this new Doctor Strange movie, hence we also see Olsen as Scarlet Witch in this movie. Nightmare will be the main villain of the film and Derrickson had dropped in the past the possibility of including Brother Voodoo.
"Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness" will premiere on May 7, 2021.
